Starting from 2nd of April 2026, Russian citizens outside Russia applying for a Schengen visa under “family visit” category will be subject to the same restrictions as Russian citizens within Russia: only visits to first- and second-degree relatives will still be permitted. Due to the current situation in the Middle East, the processing time for visa applications may take up to 21 calendar days.
We appreciate your understanding and patience. You will be notified as soon as your application has been processed.
For short-stay Schengen visas, airport transit visas, and entry visas, applications are usually processed within 15 calendar days from the date the Dutch diplomatic mission receives a complete application file.
In some cases, processing may take up to 45 calendar days.
Please note that during this processing period, applicants are kindly requested not to contact the Dutch Embassy or Consulate regarding the status of their application.
